Took my new G27 to the range and put 100+ rounds of 40 S&W through it...

Sure does bite the knuckle of my firing hand (3rd finger) thanks to that poorly designed finger knotch.

Loads were 'stout', 170 Gr LSWC & 180 Gr FMJ's + 25 rounds of 180 Rem Golden Sabre (carry ammo)

Sure takes the 'fun' of of practice sessions

Any after market fillers or fixes for this?

Try a pierce mag extension with the finger grove on it.  That should help you hold the gun more firmly and that should prevent it from jacking your hand up.

i had no finger biting issues with my 27 with various ammo, ball or jhp, some mags with pearce, some without, perhaps it's your grip.

A Brooks Tactical A grip might help.  Other than that, I'm not sure.  Maybe use a Dremel to take off the finger grooves?

Never experienced that. I ran 200 rounds through my G27 yesterday and enjoyed every second of it. It still surprises me that the only Glock .40 that I can shoot consistently better than my G27 is my G35. I always shoot the G27 better than my G23 or my G22.

Kahr might be a better solution...

Seriously, thanks for the suggestions, I'll have to look into some of them

My Glock doesn't do that, but my EAA Bounty Hunter 44 Mag does.

The mag ext. Helps ... The G27 was the only Glock I ever owned that I did not like.

I've never had that problem...  Mag ext may help.

Have the trigger gaurd reshaped in the area.  If not you will just build up a bump in that area of you finger.

never had that issue. sand down the hump on the trigger guard and use a two finger grip at all times, even when you run g23/g22 mags.

i love my 27, i can shoot it better than my 19 all day long.

I agree with re-shaping the guard.  I've done it to all my smaller Glocks.  The full sizes don't seem to bother my finger.

My peirce extension actually causes more finger bite than the flat factory floor plate.

Ordered a Brooks Agrip...

Also played with the extra backstraps. Look like the Large one may suite my hand better.

Need to load up some ammo and hit the range!!!

Let you know.

Update...

Tried the LARGE backstrap but results were somewhat inconclusive.

Got to range at 1:05 PM only to see it was "closed" from 1 PM through 5 PM the next day! ~ one of the local dealers is putting on 'Range Days' where you can look, handle and test drive your next purchase.

Can't really knock anything that encourages shooting! Wish I had paid closer attention to my emails

Got off 20 rounds - no pain but not really conclusive...

AGRip arrived but I have some doubts and wanted to try the different backstrap options first...

Use a dremmel to undercut the trigger guard a bit.  Bevel the edges.

Got any pics???

I think I would rather fill in the existing ill conceived notch as it is the cuprit that bangs against my finger during recoil.

I got to range yesterday and put about 40, rounds through it.

No pain in my knuckle this time!!!

I guess using a different grip insert got a better fit for me.
