Paid $569+tax for a Gen 4 Glock 22, from a local gunshop, ripped off or normal pricing?

On another note, I'm going to be in the market for a Gen 3/4 G19, any opinions on getting new or 2nd hand after all the fuss recently about them? Also just visited a different shop recently If I remember correctly I was quoted a Gen 4 G19 @ $505 otd, sound gtg?

A little higher than average. If you paid the price, and didn't feel you were ripped off, then you weren't ripped off.

That's about what they go for at one local shop around here. Another place is $525. I don't pay that, but that's what the prices are.

Gun prices are a regional thing just like cost of living, fuel and groceries. Pay the price locally or find an FFL and buy one off the net. You got a new gun, life is good.

$505 OTD for a G19 is a good price in my opinion, if that's the correct price.

Just checked with the new shop I went to from a referral, $500 new G4G19 otd, can't believe I paid a bit more for the G22 =\, live and learn, I think I found my main gs.

Honestly? Sounds normal for a new gun local which is why I try to avoid buying new local when I can. It's not a bad price if you want it. I'm just a cheap ass.

I snagged a Gen3 G22 for $335 OTD at GT a little over a month ago. I'm satisfied with that purchase. I just added a GLock tac light for another $65 yesterday. Makes for an excellent nightstand gun. YMMV.

All the gen4's in my area (arizona) are $550 before tax, I wish I got my 19 for $505!

Prices aren't just regional, it is also based on greed.  Here in Georgia we have one store that sells all Gen 3 and Gen 4s for $499 except the large frame (20, 21, etc).   Other local stores sell their Gen 4s for $30-60 more because they can.  People don't shop around enough and wind up paying what any gunstore asks.

The store I buy my Glocks from has very fair prices and $499 for a Gen 4 is about as cheap as I have seen them anywhere.
