If any of you recall my posting history in the Glock Tech Forum, any time the question comes up about "should i get a 19 or 26" I am a staunch advocate of the 19. I have said over and over that I have no interest in a 26.
Well, that changed this past weekend when I was talking guns with a buddy of mine who is a Dallas PD officer. Anyways it came up that he was looking to sell his 26, as he doesn't carry it anymore as he no longer does undercover work. Out of Idle curiosity i asked how much he was looking to get for it. He told me since he knows how much I like Glocks and cause we are friends, he'd sell it to me for $300. For that price, I got interested in the 26. Its a Gen 3 made in 2008. Looks like he didn't shoot it too much cause it still had some copper colored lube in the slide when I disassembled it. Score! |

Not really a glock guy, but for that price I would have snatched it up with a smile on my face. ![]() I don't understand it... Every week at least one person makes this same statement, and I always ask the same question "Then why are you in the Glock forum?" I don't go to a Chevy forum and start my post with "Well I'm not really a Chevy guy..." (Back to topic) I would have bought it without hesitation for $300 I carried the G19 for years and scoffed at the thought of carrying a sub-compact since the compact was already so easy to conceal, until my mom got a S&W 637 to replace her G26 that she never really cared for. Instead of selling it she offered to give it to me for a birthday gift, and once I carried it the first time I was sold |
