Was wondering what other calibers I can do with a G22 gen4, 9mm ammo is very affordable now, could use that for practice/targets,
are there any other calibers that a gen4 can use? perhaps a pre-owned gen3 barrel or what I would probably do is buy LWD Barrel, but would I also need to swap eject/extractors with barrel as well? |

I'm not sure, but I don't think a 9mm G17 barrel can just drop into a G22. LWD makes a dedicated G22 to 9mm conversion barrel though. You just need G17 mags. As for the extractor and ejector, some folks say the 9mm conversion works fine with the .40 extractor and ejector, while some opt to throw a 9mm extractor in there just to maximize reliability. I considered this conversion once upon a time, but I decided to just buy a G17 instead. Still have the G22 too, by the way. I also have a G19 and G23. 
JUST GET BOTH!!! But seriosly, if you want to do 9mm as well, the LWD barrel and G17 mags should suit you fine. I know I said to get both, and I have both, but I also reload for both. Therefore the difference in price between 9mm and .40 is not nearly as great for me. ETA so I know that throws off my input just a bit... |
