So my new G34 has an unpleasant tendency to sling the empties directly at my face.  The current ejector is marked 336.

Isn't there a newer version out that's supposed to correct this? I'm sure I saw a thread here on it but I can't find it now.

There is an updated ejector that should resolve that. If you cant get one through Glock or a local dealer, PM me as I know someone who could send you an updated ejector.

I'm just curious about the part #.  My FFL is used to ordering all sorts of abstruse stuff for me.

G34 gen3

Fairly late manufacture too; it has some codes on the frame and slide that aren't on any of my guns from a couple of years ago.

You have to order the latest Gen4 trigger housing directly from Glock, it will have the new ejector in it. If your gun is a Gen3, you have to pull that ejector out of the Gen4 trigger housing and put it into your Gen3 trigger housing to use in your Gen3 gun. The part number for the Gen4 9mm trigger housing is 30275, for .40 it's 28927. Each will contain the 30274 or 28926 ejector.

If you have a Gen 3, I'm pretty sure an extractor change will fix it. My understanding is that this issue started in the Gen 3's when they switched to the MIM extractor (which has a slight dip in the top).

If you get a non-MIM extractor, the issue should be fixed. The 336 ejector has been used for a long time, and should be fine for a Gen 3.

Anyway, I would try an extractor before ejector.

I tried that in my Gen3 G27, I used the old investment cast extractor from my G23 which ejected fine. It barely made any difference. Only the 28926 ejector fixed it.

Some people have fixed it by simply replacing the extractor, for others only the new ejector will fix it. The same problem exists in both Gen3 and Gen4. Many Gen3's and Gen4's work fine with the old ejectors. The new ejectors change ejection enough to fix the problem in the guns that have the problem, the rearward tilt to the face of the new ejector raises the case mouth of the spent casing more during ejection, so that the case mouth won't impact the slide just below the ejection port opening.
