| What's the difference between a jersey legal glock to a California legal glock besides 10rd mags on a glock 19 |
|
The only difference from Gen 3 Glocks sold in CA and the rest of the USA are the magazines.
Glocks sold to non-exempt CA residents (non-LEOs) come with 10 round or less magazines. Glocks sold to exempt CA residents (LEOs) come with standard capacity magazines. Some Gen4 Glocks sold in CA are different than the rest of the USA. Gen4 Glocks sold to exempt CA residents (LEOs) are the same in the rest of the USA. Gen4 Glocks sold to non-exempt CA residents (non-LEOs) are sold are as 6" barrel single-shot pistols. This is done to make them exempt from the CA DOJ approved list for handgun sales. Once they are sold and after the 10 day wait, they can be legally modified so that they are like normal Gen4 Glocks. |

Glocks made for the Kalifornia market have a chip embedded in the grip. You'll have to send the frame back to Glock/Smyrna for reprogramming. Kalifornia programming provides for the Glock's not firing, if an attempt at firing is made by anybody with an I.Q. higher than that of an unborn rhinoceros!! |
