Here is a link that allows you to find out how old your Glock is! Useless knowledge, but I found out my gen 2 G19 was used by the DC police and produced Jan. 1989. I feel special!![]() http://www.glockfaq.com/markings.htm#code |

This site is easier to use: www.topglock.com/support_dateyourglock.aspx My G17 was made Oct. 88 Dave |
The first link is to a chart that is useful for older Glocks only. It refers to a three digit code stamped on the barrel at the time of proofing, and basically gives the "proofing" date. Later model Glocks are not stamped with this "proofing" code. This chart does not refer to the first digits of the serial number. The second LINK will work for all Glocks, and is based in the serial number. You will have to use the second link for your gun. Dave BTW - a Glock 22 with a serial starting DSX was manufactured 05/2000 |
got mine used in september of 97' and its got the three digit serial, had a few issues with the mag release (dropping mags each time gun was fired ), but the gun has functioned fine for over 4k rnds. since replacing the mag catch. |

My G23 is from 10/99. 5K rounds and beat to hell for a Gen3. She's butter. OTOH, My G17 doesn't compute. Serial# is FUHxxx. I bought it in May 2004. The box was marked LEO Only. I'm assuming the mags were simply swapped for two 10 rounders. Does that sound about right? Pretty interesting info. HS1 |
Go HERE. Click on your model number and the first three digits of your serial number. It will tell you the month and year of manufacture. If you want specific day of manufacture, you will have to contact GLOCK. Hope this helps! Dave |
Hey Mr Wilson My G17 was born on 06/86 as well (#AT8xx) We were the trail blazers back then! Rich V |
Don't know about being trailblazers, but certainly qualify as "smart-shoppers" who recognized the value of new technology in the firearms industry. For myself I have to say that the fact that the Glock factory had two G17s at that time with over 300,000 rounds thru them was something I couldn't afford to pass up. Old Glocks rock!
