I'm looking at getting a new handgun and was looking at a glock in 40cal what is the diffirences in the Glock 22 and the 23. If you have one or the other why did you pick that model. Any help would be greatful Thank You Js15 |
| They are different sizes. The 22 is a fullsize model and the 23 is a compact model. I chose the 23 because of its concealability. This is my daily carry gun so I have to be comfortable with it. It is a good size for me to carry and it isn't too small so I actually feel like I can hold onto it. 13+1 is a good amount of ammo as well. They are both great guns but the 22 is too big for me to conceal comfortably IWB. |

I wouldn't say that the 23 is a compact model, but it is a bit smaller. I got the 23 because I was looking for a new handgun to start carrying that had a lot of accessories made for it and was easy to find replacement parts for. I decided to get the 23 over the 22 because the 22 just didn't fit my hand properly. I didn't have that problem with the 23. It was comfortable for me to shoot and I was prety accurate with it as well. Shoot both and decide which one is best for you. |

I have both, I used to carry the 23 because it was compact, but I never got used to the short grip, as I have large hands, so I got a 22 and it was a perfect fit for me. It was also just as concealable as the 23. I"m 6' and 165 lbs and there were no concealment problems with the 22. I carry the 22 all the time now You should go to a range and rent both and decide which one feels and shoots better for you. |
