Think I will reinstall it and try again I know Im not holding it with my thumb and watched my little woman while she ran it her grip looked good still did it on every mag. ETA: have the extended on 4 other glocks and never had this happen makes me say HUH ? I had it happen on my G35. Lock the slide back manually and take a look at where the tab on the slide lock is engaged by the mag follower. The tab on the lever may be slipping past the shelf on the mag follower. The extended slide release seems to have a smaller tab. I ordered the newer followers for mine which had a wider shelf to engaged the lock lever. (if that didn't make sense i can post pics) |
| My buddy had a first generation glock 17 got to where the slide would not lock back. The magazine springs were worn out. Pistol fed and ejected fine but would not the slide back. New mag springs the pistol started locking back. His Glock 17 had the original slide catch but when he replaced the mag springs the pistol probably had been through many thousands of reloads over many years. |
| If your are shooting a thumbs forward grip I would bet money its your strong thumb holding down the slide stop. I developed a habit of resting my strong thumb on the safety of my 1911 and that carried over to the glock. The top of the slide stop was like a thumb magnent. Adjusted and problem went away. |

If you are using an aftermarket slide lock, the spring may be for shit. Yup, I have had this happen. Use a stock spring. Maybe change that spring. I have also seen an undersized hole in an aftermaket slide stop. These things may happen with stock parts too, or dirt, fucking magic, etc..... |
