Which is better for ccw, glock 26 or glock 36

Both will be just as easy to conceal.  26 gives you more ammo and 9mm is cheaper to shoot.  .45 has way more energy and knockdown power, but I will take 9mm any day.  I pack a 19 when not carrying my Beretta 92.

I CC a G22 most of the time and the wife carries a G27 with a 23 mag in it. I'm a pretty big guy so the 22 works for me, smaller folks will need to go smaller.

"Better' at what?

I prefer 45 over 9 so, I recommend the G36. But, it is bigger than the G26 if size is a concern for you.

Whichever one you can handle and keep on target. I carry the G30SF in .45 ACP. Love it, but at times I wish I had a G26 or G19. The ammunition is much cheaper and you get more in the magazine capacity. If carrying Hornady TAP, Federal, Winchester Ranger SXT, you will be absolutely fine with 9mm. More opportunities to put hits on target and manage recoil.

I also carry a g30sf and love it. It shoots nice and 45acp is always a great caliber to have.

Uhhh... not so fast

Cheaper to shoot is always better.  More importantly, you'll use premium ammunition instead of ball for defensive daily carry, so there's really very lttle difference between them.

I'd take the 26 out of the two.

G26.

The G36 is a little tough on follow up shots for someone without skill. I ROed a GSSF match a year ago and everyone using a G36 for subcompact class consistently scored lower than people with a G26.

I find my G26 to be just as easy to control and shoot as my G17.

Oh yeah if Rob says it so it must be
Having said that I have been carrying a G26 for several years and never have I felt uncomfortable about this decision.
Practice with whatever you decide to carry is the key.

The G36 being single stack carries better for me over long days, it doesn't feel like I have a brick attached to my side like the double stacks do.

The G26 is easier to shoot and didn't induce fatigue over longer range sessions like the G36 has a tendency to do, for me.

I sold my G26 and kept the G36 due to the carry factor. I'm more apt to carry it if it's more comfortable.

I carry the Glock 36 , it is about the caliber and the slim grips for  concealment
rounds are nice to have but as a CCW person the less I have to expend the better
If I ever need more than 7 rounds  I am not being tactical  enough

19 is probably the best option possible. That said, I CCW a G17 with X300.

36 feels much slimmer for IWB carry than the 26. However, I would choose the 26 due to the 36 being pretty stout under recoil. That being said, I carry a 19 all day, every day.

The G36 or any of the .40s are the only Glocks that I wouldn't own.  The G36 is marginally slimmer than the G30, but is truly a bastid Glock.  It won't take mags from other .45ACP Glocks, as will the G30.  I carry the G26 daily.  The "knockdown" power difference of the .45 is a myth.  Besides, if I wanted a revolver-like ammo capacity, I'd just carry a revolver.

The 26 is smaller and 9mm. The 36 is larger and .45acp. Pick.

With the world the way it is, I carry either my 19 or 26. I like having more rounds on tap and with decent loads a 9 will do anything you need doing to a 2 legged target. Shot to shot recovery is a whole lot better as well.

I'm a little confused, what are you using Hero?

I'm currently in the process of switching from the 19 w/o a light in a Bianchi 100 to using a Raven type holster with a TLR1s. Even with the light, I'm not having any issues with adding a light.

I EDC a G27, and a lot of times that's on my ankle. I'm a skinny guy and the full-size Glock grips print pretty badly out my backside. Adding the light wouldn't be that big of a difference, though the holsters are a tad wider due to the light. I throw on a G23 in addition to my G27 for certain "circumstances," but there is no concealment needed during those times. I was just saying that I would love the ability to easily concealed carry a full-size Glock with a light attached.

I'm a pretty skinny bastard, and I carry a G19 concealed. I think it depends greatly upon what sort of clothes you wear.

The holster does a lot as well.  I believe with a pierce grip the sub compact is nearly as long as the compacts.  This is what I'm working with right now.
