My 1911 is too expensive to keep shooting. I wanted to possibly get a G17 and use a CCF frame with a 1911 frame on it for cheaper practice and high capacity. Anyway, just wondering if any of you have any experience with one of these. Also, anyone know where to get a beat to hell G17 for cheap? |

try summit gun broker for the cheap police trade ins.
I can't help you on the CCF frames, but a police trade-in is your best bang for the buck on a used Glock. For example, my local cop shop has G22s and G23s for $299 with 3 mags, or G35s for $329. they just had a lot of G17's come through and the ad says that they're working on another. |

Yeah if they had a 34 and a 19 I'd get one of each. |
| thanks for the info, guys. As to not useing a LW slide or bbl with a CCF frame, I'm not too concerned about that sort of thing. I primarily want it for the weight. I do however, like the timberwolf frame as well. I don't think it'll do much for me though in the way of wanting to add weight. Then again, a fully loaded G22 is pretty hefty (I used to own one). |
