I have been shooting and carrying this g27 for many years. Eats anything. Never had a problem.
Has well over 2,000 rds through it. Today I noticed it's bending the cases during ejection.
Only mods are: Heavier trigger spring and 3.5 connector. Don't know how long it's been doing this
Just noticed today.

Any ideas?

I'm thinking your RSA needs to be replaced

My G27 does it too, my G23 does not. From what I've been able to tell so far, the extractor is losing the rim of the casing so the casing drops down to the point of the magazine, but the extractor claw is still forward of the rim, so ejection still occurs. Because the casing is sitting lower than normal, the casing smacks into the right side of the ejection port of the slide before pivoting upward and being ejected.

There's not much you can do about it. Comparing my G23 (made in 2004) and my G27 (made in 2009) it seems that Glock moved the position of the cut-out in the slide for the extractor forward. My only guess as to why they did it was to allow more residue to build up on the extractor claw before reliability is impaired. I tried a 9mm extractor thinking it may have a tighter grip on the rim of the casing, but the exact opposite occurred, the extractor lost the rim and the casing dropped down even more, and because the 9mm extractor has a parallel claw instead of a 5 degree claw, the dents/scrapes on the casings were even worse. The casings also seemed to barely bobble out of the ejection port or bounce around inside it as the slide went forward. Some even ejected left and downrange.

I found an older non-LCI 15 degree .40 extractor but I haven't tested it yet. It looks to have less of a gap between the claw, rim, and breech face, but still a significant gap. If that doesn't fix it the only thing that could would be making a custom extractor.

I have a few every now & then.  Never paid it  much mind.  I don't think it's problem if it's ejecting & shooting fine otherwise.

Thanks for the replies...
Tested 4 different types of ammo today. Fiocchi, CCI, Hornady and Federal.
Fiocchi cases dented to worse.
CCI, no dents at all.
Hornady had small marks slight dents.
Federal had marks on some of the cases.
So, it could be an ammo thing.
Checked all springs, and ejector. All seem fine.
