I was wondering if anyone might know if Glock will ever make a dedicated 22cal model.

Glock is very good about keeping things hush, hush until a few months before it's released. A lot of people want one so there is no doubt they would sell and it would be perfect if it was the next Glock released because that would make it the G40. Just think about it, the G22 is a 40 cal and the G40 could be a 22 cal. That would be awesome! 
Anyway, I wouldn't hold your breath waiting on one and there is nothing wrong with the "so called conversions". I've had the AA kit for a while now and it works great. Mine has a dedicated frame and I actually call it my G40 
If Glock does release a .22LR version, I hope they don't do like others in the industry have done and just let Umerex design a scaled down version that looks like a Glock

| I bought a Glock 35 a couple years ago and put my AA 22 conversion kit on the 35 frame. I carry a Glock 22 in uniform and a Glock 27 in plain clothes. I found I never shot the Glock 35 even though I liked it and always left the AA kit on the 35 frame. I found a used Glock 17 frame for sale and bought it to use it as a dedicated frame for my AA kit. A buddy wanted my Glock 35 so I sold it. I shoot the Glock with the AA kit more than any other pistol I own regardless of whether centerfire or rimfire. Next best thing to Glock introducing a 22 rimfire pistol. |
