I am looking into buying a G21 Gen 4 for my CCW and home defense. I owned a G23 a few years ago and never had any issues with it, except that it was to small for my hands and the recoil few to sharp. I have recently heard that there has been issues with the reoil springs and a few other items on the G21's or the Gen 4's overall. Is this people bad mouthing Glock just for the heck of it, don't know what there talking about. I would greatly apperciate anyones experience.
Please keep the kool-aid drinking to a minimuim. |

What is the problem withthe 9mm Gen 4's ? Has Glock started to fix it ? Is it one that can be fixed by trading out original parts for others ? ![]() Most of them can be fixed by dropping in the latest recoil assembly and replacing the dip style extractor with a LWD extractor. Some are just complete lemons. |
| Just picked one up this week. Finally shot it a little today. 100rds WWB and 100rds of Aguila. It shot beautifully. I would have to say somewhat softer recoil than a G21 Gen 3. No malfunctions what so ever. The only thing I did notice was a couple of spent cases hit my shooting glasses and a few landed on my right shoulder. So far so good with this Gen 4 G21. |
