| So we (my PD) finally got our new Glocks in last week. Those of us who opted for the Gen 3 Glock 21 SF instead of the Gen 4 22's and 17's, find out that our order was changed and we got Gen 4 21's. They do not make a Gen 4 21 SF because they have changeable backstraps. We also find out that the Gen 4 21's are not available to civilians(?) and they are only giving them to LE first for "testing". Any others have them or know anything about them? The Gen 3 was tried and true, not sure I like having the first batch of new design Glocks that I have to protect myself and others with. |

I don't recall them being LEO. Either I'm remembering wrong, or they just didn't mention it. I'm not sure I understand the "testing" bit, since your average LEO only puts rounds through their duty guns for quals. |

I have been doing some "Googling" and have seen a few civilians talking about their Gen 4 21's but I can't find any actual reviews or experiance..... |

Yep, that's one of the threads I remember. I guess I did miss the LEO part, since the OP of that threads said he was indeed LE. |
