I just bought a G19. The dealer has posted on the counter - free mag with the purchase of any Glock pistol for Police / Fire / EMS / Security. I inquired at the time of purchase and was told to check Glock's website. I don't see anything on there. I've also read elsewhere that pricing is supposed to be be less. Is this a rebate or taken off at the time of purchase?

Any info would be appreciated.

are you a first responder (LEO, security, fire, ems, etc)? I fall within that and got my G23 with 3 mags at a discounted price but I had to provide credentials proving it. There's a Glock program you can join and you'll get the 3rd mag (I think).

The sales guy didn't offer up any additional info as I asked regarding the xtra mag deal.
I read about all of this afterwards.

Blue label guns are already discounted and should come with 3 mags already - they should have also taken a copy of your creds

how much did you pay for it?

You got ripped off

Dealer cost on a regular G19 is appro 425-440
Dealer cost on a LE/Blue lable G19 is approx $380

The shop should have priced that gun right around $425 - $450 and it should have come with 3 mags (Unless it was a used gun)

What are the first 3 letters on your serial number?

PI1

The pistol is new.

It says on the blue label 3 mags. The three is crossed out and a two is hand written in.

With this homeland security offer, is the discount supposed to be given at the store?

big time.
with the GSSF program, you should have got it, even if it were a Gen4, with 3 mags for somewhere around $500 (including tax)

This dealer sounds sketchy.

ETA:  The discount should have been at point of sale, and the way he hand corrected the number of mags on the label and then graciously "gave" you an extra mag is BS.  It really gripes my nuts when I encounter dealers that pull accessories out of new gun boxes for resale, and even more so on a gun intended for a first responder discount.

If it were a real blue label and you paid retail and you didn't get a 3rd mag, I'd let Glock know about it. It's a serious breach to raid the boxes specifically for the first responder program.

I'd entertain a different dealer in the future.

Whiskey, I really hope the dealer makes this right for you. I bought a G19 a couple months ago and paid less than that, and I'm just an ordinary citizen. Gun was not purchased online, special deal/discount or anything like that. Just the normal advertised price at my local gunshop.

Good luck!

only Glock LE dealers have the Le program, if ur dealer just bought a LE blue model and is reselling it to you theres nothing glock will do for you probably. if ur dealer is a LE dealer then he will be in trouble with glock,

IIRC Blue label guns are distributed through regular distributors like Davidsons and Gunarama - You just have to be a glock dealer, which in the end, you really don't have to be a "Glock Dealer" to get glocks from distributors

Glock just (or is in the process of) revamped how they distribute guns in their first responder program, but I'm not exactly clear on the details.   But, you and sweetsourp0rk bring up good points.  Clearly, the dealer in question is unscrupulous in some regard though.

looks like you got hosed.
Ed public safety has the first reponder program and shows a brand new blue label glock 19 with three mags for 398. Even adding the 20 or so bucks shipping and a 30 buck ffl fee you are still at under 450.-with the three mags.
next time look at ed's public safety website and compare. You can also contact glock and tell them what happened. They may be able to direct you to a nearby glock certified le dealer who will price things properly- ass others have mentioned this should be reported to glock as if this dealer is doing this and is a glock certified dealer glock will adress it.

Yeah, i know that they were having issues because then it falls onto the distributor to provide individual credentials. Multiple times we have had to send K-Rings and Gunarama Officer info so that they can pass it onto glock. Glock should just distribute the first responder guns because there is no real profit that i can see for a distributor to do it

I ordered my Gen 3 G19 straight from Glock and paid $400 shipped with the third mag. You got stiffed big time. I always order straight from Glock that way you know what you're getting. That being said, a lot of folks don't like having to wait for the production time. Also if you order from Glock they'll install the extended controls for free.

It sounds like you paid full price for a discounted Glock. Unfortunately, we will never know what the dealer paid for the blue label gun, but regardless this dealer sounds shady and I would take my business elsewhere. Next time, deal directly with Glock or an authorized LE distributor. I have not done business with Ed’s, but a lot of people on here have nothing but good things to say.

My recent experience, Gen 4 19 with Trijicon NS, out the door for $528. Blue label with 3 mags. First responder discount taken by the stocking dealer at the counter. No background check. Had to show credentials and CCP.
Sounds like a shady dealer.
