I ordered one from Palmetto Armory. I have Robar NP3 plus on the gun and I'm debating on whether or not to leave the barrel black because it looks pretty sweet. Still waiting on sights and my .45 will be complete. Now someone please buy my .40 so I can pay for all of this.

now which thread protector... Advanced Armament or Gemtech??? All that damn money and they don't provide a thread protector?
What can you got/getting? Got the Advanced Armament one. I asked them to lower the $10 shipping since you could send that tiny piece in a first class envelope. They agreed. |

I can only find G19 and G21 factory threaded barrels. Anyone know where I can get a G17 and G22 factory Glock threaded barrel? Not available Initial runs of barrels are for the Glock G19 (9x19mm) threaded M13.5x1LH and the Glock G21 (45Auto) threaded M16x1LH.

Well, other than it being a factory Glock barrel, are there any other avdantages to using this vs a LoneWolf barrel, etc? I am considering one in spite of the price. I personally like KKM Barrels and I have a 6-inch 10mm conversion barrel for this gun as well. With that said, I am sure there isn't much difference from the factory and Lone Wolf, but I've always liked keeping "fighting" handguns as stock as possible and the Glock Factory threaded barrel totally appealed to me, especially since it uses the same thread as the HK 45 threaded barrels and there are a ton of suppressor options out there for that weapon. You are right... it was freakin' expensive from Palmetto State but I bit the bullet and bought it just because it is Glock. |

I have always been pleased with the performance of every Glock product that I have owned, since my first G19 in 1994. Kind of an "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" type mentality here. The finish on these things is gorgeous as well. |

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic, but in case you are not, plenty of companies make thread protectors that will fit. Lone Wolf, Gemtech I believe makes some, assuming H&K .45 threads are the same pitch (they probably are), you can go for those, etc. Usually like $15. I can't see how that would make you not want to buy a factory threaded barrel though. |
