| I am in the market for a new Glock, and am drawn to the 9mm because of the price of ammo, and I have no issue with the round when using proper ammo. Anyways, I have been thinking, would I be better off getting the Glock 23 over the Glock 19 so I can shoot .40 S&W, 9mm, and .357 SIG? Also, does using a LW 40-9 Barrel void Glock's warranty? If you could answer my questions, that would be great, thanks! |

To be honest, if you're drawn to the G19 for the cost of the ammo, you might as well just stick with the 19 because you won't be spending much, if anything at all on the other calibers. Then take into account that you would need to purchase a 9mm conversion barrel and 9mm magazines to run 9mm through a 23, you're already defeating the purpose of trying to keep costs down. I personally own a G23 and I love it, but it sounds like you would be better off with a G19 from the start. |

i agree with the logic of the OP. i ended up doing the same thing, and here is a little of the history of my glockage.
G23, fired this as a .40 for 10 years. never interested in a 9mm glock at all. eventually, i end up owning 2 9mm G17s. oops. sooner than later i end up with a G22 that i swore for years i didnt need. then i picked up a G27. now ive got all 3 size frames of .40. then i picked up a 9mm barrel for the G27, just to give it a try, and it worked great. ok, so where im going with this, is i plan to also pickup a G23-9mm conversion barrel, thus eliminating my need to pick up a G19 and G26. |
