Heard a batch are going to be shipped from Glock on April 30th. Should be interesting to see if they are better tested than the 17 and 19 were prior to their release. I am signed up to get one |

Quoted:
Do want. I hope they are doing the SF frames also. I spoke with a Glock rep and asked the same question. Sounds like they are going to continue the Gen 3 in the SF model but not in the Gen 4. He said the interchangeable backstraps make the without strap size about the same as a SF. The other straps make it thicker. My biggest like about the Gen 4 frame is the oversized magazine release. Hopefully the double recoil spring will make a noticeable difference in recoil. |

I have one of the original SF frames that has the crappy mag release. I want to swap it out, which they will do at the factory when you send your old one in, but I want to have the Gen 4 frame if possible. Right now I have it built with a Lone Wolf slide and conversion barrel, so I'm not 100% sure I'll be able to do it. |

Quoted: it is my understanding that the new Gen4 Glock 21 (w/o a backstrap installed) will basically be like the curent Gen3 SF model. is that correct? if so, i'm definitely interested. Well it looks like it won't matter for me then. I've heard there are differences with the locking block so I still might be SOL. |
