has anyone here tried a Ghost Inc. Rocket trigger bar in their glock?
Is it worthy of spending cash on? thanks, Kenny |

Yes, it rocks. Make sure you order the Armorer's Plate with it or you'll be sorry. sorry, whats the armorers plate? id assume its just a slide plate but ive never heard of it before its a shorter slide plate that allows you to activate the trigger from the rear of the gun using a punch, this is necessary when doing the required initial adjustment of the ghost rocket. The instructions that come with it explain this further. |
| please take it from an armorer. most of those rocket ones need to be cut to fit properly. stick with in this order glock "-" connector, LWD connector, polish stock connecter. if this is a target gun and not a carry gun get a 4lb wolff FP spring, reduced power plunger spring, and 6lb trigger spring. add a .25 cent polish job you have a 2-2.5lb trigger. want to go a step further? get an adjustable trigger, reduce some of that ''take up slack'' (LWD makes one and a few other companies as well). you never really specified what you were buying the ghost rocket for? explain why and and you will recieve a more detailed answer. i have a target glock with zero take up slack 2.2lb trigger pull (measured) which by the way NOBODY USES EXCEPT ME. IM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR AN AD OR SOMEONE GETTING SHOT BY ACCIDENT! Tell us what your looking to achieve... |

IM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR AN AD OR SOMEONE GETTING SHOT BY ACCIDENT! Tell us what your looking to achieve... Pretty much all of the Rockets will need to be filed down...it's how you achieve a shorter reset and less overtravel. And you can do it with a simple connector change, instead of requiring all that other modification. The "-" connector alone is a simple waste of time and money, IMO, since it doesn't address the overtravel and just results in a light, mushy trigger. However, the race set up you describe will make for a nice trigger, but now we're starting to weaken some of the safety systems the Glock was designed around. Nice thing about the Rocket, is that you still have a safe gun, and if you want to go back to stock, you just put in the old connector. I also have to disagree on the polishing of the stock parts. The change in feel is extremely subtle, one would be hard pressed to really notice any difference at all. |

I purchased a slightly used (never fired) G30 with the rocket trigger in it. In all of my other glocks I had always installed a 3.5lb connector and done the trigger job but decided to give this setup a try. Damn I love it! Now I just have to drum up enough $$$ to replace all of them |

after market parts in glocks are a solution in search of a problem they do the job they are designed for very well as they come. I have said it many times here and in other forums- alomost all Glock function problem threads start something like this:
I took a perfectly functional Glock and added several aftermarkets parts to it now it won't work! |

I tried a friend's Glock 22 with one in it an while nice, it didn't feel any better to me than the LW 3.5# connector and Comp trigger spring combo I had in my Glock 22. First, let me say that I'm not enthralled with the reduced power striker spring as I've seen a fair amount of failures to fire caused by hard primers with them. If someone finds a way to keep their Glock reliable with all type of ammo / primer combinations using one, then good on them. Anyway, after he put the stock striker spring in his so that we were comparing apples to apples, we both fired each others pistols and he grudgingly agreed that my trigger was the same as his; reduced takeup, light and crisp trigger pull, and zero over travel. And I didn't have to trim and/or fit anything. I admit that I'm a bit lazy at times but all I had to do was swap the connector and spring and I was done. Cheaper and faster with no bother. YMMV |

YMMV I'm having trouble picturing how a LW 3.5 and some springs would reduce over-travel? Help me out here. Also are you sure he had the Rocket and not the drop-in Ghost trigger/ |
