If your talking about the indoor GSSF shoots you will find that different ranges run the indoor matches differently.
The folks at Total Firearms in Mason MI. run a great match and really cater to every shooter. On the other hand the GSSF indoor shoot at The Firingline in Westland MI. caters to the local home shooters. So my advise would be to stay away from The Firingline as these folks don't really treat all shooters that great. http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=8&f=39&t=445148 The indoor matches run in a series of three, one a month for three months. You have to participate in two of the series of three matches to be eligible for placing and any prizes. Each COF string uses 50 rounds. So if you want to run two COF's then bring 100 rounds. Also call the range in advance to get the details of that match so you can bring the correct equipment as like I said before not all ranges run the matches with the same rules. |

| I've been a GSSF range officer and competitor for the last 7 years. Bring lots of ammo and lots of cash. Each entry is $25, but you'll probably want to shoot several categories. I usually shoot Am Civ, Am Comp, and sometimes another as a "throw away" match to warm up. If you get lucky you might win a random pistol like I did a couple of years ago. Have fun and enjoy yourself. The matches are pretty low key. |

what is the average distance that you shoot ? for the different matches? We shoot at 5 different distances but I can't remember them. The longest is 50 feet. 10 shots, both hands, 10 shots, weak hand, Change Target 10 shots right hand, 10 shots both hands, 10 shots both hands (50 feet). |
