I'm looking at possibly getting a G29 as a "woods" gun for when I'm hiking and fishing. None of my local dealers have any in stock. After some reading, I'm worried about the grip size on the 29. Can someone tell me how the 29 grip compares to the 27? Are the 29 grips fatter, same or slimer than the 27? I used to have a 27, that's why I'd like some comparisions on the 29 - 27 grip size. Thanks! |

Thanks for the replies! I'm still trying to find a good Glock dealer in my area so I can fondle some different models. Can someone tell me how the 29 grip compares to it's big brother the 20????? Are the grip sizes the same? Oh god, I think I have the 10mm bug! HELP! |
| Small detail about the 29 vs the 30 is the mag floorplate. IIRC, the 29 has a flat plate, holds 10. the G30 has a thicker wedge on it, and it holds 10 that way. So, care in making a decision based only on the G30 feel. If you like G27 it should work, but the 10mm will not be a lot of fun from a diminutive glock. I would get the G20 for an outdoor gun, size is not that critical and weight will not change much, but if you need it you will be damn glad you have it. |
TopGlock.com has the G20 for $484 I am mm's from buying it! BTW I did fondle a 29 and did not like the grip (too small for my tastes) Could not imagine the challenge of the recoil and sight acquisition. I f I do it it will be the 20 for sure and I'll IWB that biotch too
