Just ordered a set of Ameriglo Operators for my 23 carry. Got the GL147's which are yellow/green. I think I'll like the yellow, but all never had yellow on any of my other guns with night sights. Any comments pertaining specificly to Operators in this configuration? Mistake?

| Good call. Green is the brightest color for H3 lamps so yellow rears will help shift focus to the front sight, even in profound darkness and prevents confusion as the rears are a different color. Also, yellow inserts have long life, like green, unlike orange, red or blue. |

I have a similar combo but with the Hack front. I have no complaints. Not to derail the thread, but I added a hackathorn front sight and it's not really so hot indoors. Is it much better outdoors during the day? You can't see it that well? Just doesn't pick up the light unless the light source is directly behind it. More often than not, I end up with a totally black front sight picture. |

I use the red for the .2 seconds that I don't have a sight picture and I'm just using the front post alone. The red keeps my from lining up the dots, which is a no no. |
| Guess I will know soon enough if the yellow/green and even the Operators are what I'm looking for. I may be over thinking this thing, but I have decided to transition to Glock for HD and EDC for both myself and the wife. Currently I carry either a 23 or a 30sf and have a 21sf in the night stand. The wife carries a 26 and has a 19 in her night stand. This leaves a 17, 22 and 32 as range guns. My goal is to make up my mind as to the perfect all round sight and buy the same for all. |
