so I went to the local fun shop full intention of getting a 21SF.... saw an M&P45 and decided to give it a whirl. After paying OVER INFLATED ammo price for a rental I grabbed the SW and went down range. It felt great in the hand! grip was a bit slick but the "ergos" everyone raves about were def noticeable...... BUT.....

Then I fired it

it was accurate but how hard is it to put rounds in the black from 25 and closer without stress? Basically the gun just felt cheap... the trigger was horrible!!!! I know most swap it out but boooo! so in the end not a bad pistol. Soft shooter, accurate.... but just felt cheap.... reminded me of a ruger.....

In the end.... the G21sf followed me home

I like how the Smith feels also, but everytime I take one apart and look inside I remember why I dont buy one.  Good choice on your 21, now you just need a 20 to keep it company.

LMFAO I was going to post that I had a rare pig nose free glock! and no matter how high I grip this thing the slide doesn't come close to the web of my hand.... so no gimmick gripforce fag tail on this!

on a seperate note I have been carrying a 19 for CCW and this 21SF is just as easy to carry.... might have a new fav all around glock!!!

Good deal, the 21 SF will probably be MY next Glock purchase.

Son #2 had an M&P .45;it was nice, but, "meh."

HaHa, good post.. I felt the exact same way about a year ago but I actually bought a M&P9C, traded it for a browning A-bolt.. They are comfy and yep the trig sucks and they feel cheap as hell, the polymer isnt stiff like glocks, it flexes a lot more... I even fell again and looked at one the other day..??  Needless to say they arent  Glocks.. Yes Im a fanboy so what?? They freaken work.. Nothing but Glocks for my semi's for a while.. I sold a SIG p220 to buy a G21 but ended up buying a G23 instead to carry and to be my G22's lil bro.. Now they both need a big bro, the G21.

Congrats.

My 21SF is the most accurate Glock that I own, in my hands.

When I was in the other day picking up a G17, the salesman showed me an M&P9, just for comparison. Grip actually felt pretty nice, liked the finish- then I saw that skinny little trigger with the lever flopping around and felt how mushy it was. The trigger reminds me of something my kid shoots caps with- I could see it breaking already. Compared with the rest of the weapon it's almost like an afterthought.

Good choice, I've been jonsesing for a 21SF since I got rid of my full size XD45 a few weeks ago.  Will probably wind up picking one up eventually to be the bigger brother to my G30.

And I do detect a very slight pignose on that gun ... not much though  Not that it bothers me, all my Glocks have it

I've owned a whole bunch of Glocks and still own a customized 20. Wish it was a 20SF but it would be the one pistol I'd keep if I could only have one...
I, recently, bought 2 M&Ps and like them a lot. The ergonomics are great and they work really well for teaching.
The perfect pistol doesn't exist because perfection is an individual concept, not a market-wide reality.
Glocks are my preference for defensive use, but the hump on the grip really bugs, especially on the full-size frames. It's too bad that Glock missed the boat on the Gen 4s by not making the frame with a flat backstrap and offering backstrap appliques in more options. Even better would be having a setup with interchangeable backstraps more like the CCF Raceframe instead of appliques.
See what I mean about perfection being a concept not a reality? There's just too many shooters with other pistols with "normal" grip angles that would prefer not having to learn a whole different set of ergonomics for one brand of pistol. Adding the cost of a grip reduction to the price of a Glock makes them significantly more expensive than an M&P or XD. I'm sure there's also an element of pride for Glock. Completely changing the shape of their grip would be an admission that they've not been perfect since day one.
YMMV...

You'll love it. I carry a G21+TLR-1 in a Raven and it works really well. Congrats!

badkarmaiii no doubt perfection = what works best... but even though I try different pistols (Ruger, SW, XD, CZ) I always come back to Glock.... and Glock wasn't the first brand I ever owned

That's the way it was for me- in the past year I've carried a CZ,Rock Island,Sig Sauer and a couple others. Every one had it's good/bad, but I realized I kept comparing them to Glock. Kept comparing my G19's features with what was on my hip. Realized today while walking around how nice it was to just remember it was a Glock on my hip now.
