Hello Gents,

Was at the local toy store last week and did a look-see at a new Glock 19 with the RTF2 frame.  This new Glock seemed to really "stick" to my hand ! !

My current EDC is a Gen 3 19, but the new RTF2 might change that !

So - -  anyone have a G-19 with a RTF2 frame ? ?

Thanks ! !

i don't have a RTF2 19, but i do have a 21SF in RTF2 flavor and i love it! i say get the 19 RTF2... if you find that the RTF2 texture is a little too aggressive for concealed carry you got your standard frame gen3 19 that you could go back to - just an idea. let us know what you decide.

I've been carrying a G19 RTF2 for a year, it replaced my early model gen3 G19 that replaced my gen 2 G19.

I really like the RTF2.

I've got a G17 and G19 with the RTF2.  I love them.  It's the best grip from the factory I've ever had.

I've been carrying the RTF2 for a couple weeks now. Some observations:

From the factory, the RTF-age is a little bit too RTF-ey even for target shooting IMO. After my first 100 rounds, my hands felt a little bit bruised up. Maybe it was just a difference in grip compared to my G26 but it was very uncomfortable.

From the factory, the RTF-age is a little bit too RTF-ey for carry. Not only will it chafe your skin, but it will also stick to your cover garments. Not good.

The good news is that you can fix it with a little bit of sand paper. I personally really like the RTF-texture on the back strap and finger grooves, but not so much on the sides where it really chafes and sticks to my cover garment. In these problem areas, I just hit it with a bit of sandpaper and everything was fine. I hit the sides and the backstrap with 4 swipes of fine grit sandpaper just to knock off the "points" and it worked perfectly. The side of the grip that touches my skin, I hit about 10 times and it doesn't chafe so badly.

IMO, the RTF2 is good to go, and even if you run into trouble with it you can always fix it with sandpaper. Just go very slow.

I've got a G19 rtf2 & like it a lot. The texture isn't an issue if you have man hands.

I just got my Gen 3 19 with the RTF2 and the crescent serrations monday, and I love it. I actually prefer it to the gen4 RTF3. Now I don't have to worry about stippling another pistol, I probably will eventually just for the hell of it, a few beers and a soldering iron always seems like a good Idea.

About a year ago I purchased a Glock 19 with the RTF2 frame....I liked it so much a few weeks later I went back and purchased a Glock 23 RTF2 and .40 S&W isn't my favorite round. If I could I would have all of my pistols with RTF2. I was unable to find a Glock 21SF with the RTF2 finish so I purchased a standard Gen3 and added grip tape. I may have to trade it as the Gen4 21SF becomes available.

I love my G19 with the (fish scales, crescent moon). I have a regular gen 3 g19 as well. I just like the RTF better. I had the Gen 4 G17 and I like the RTF texture the best.
