SO today I took my son and a frind out to the range. I took the Glock 27 since my friend has never shot one. He put 4 rounds down range and I put another 10 or 15. I reloaded the mag put 2 down range and then nothing. Jam....WTF???? I hae put less than 100 rounds down range with this gun. The spent round was ejected, but the round to e chamered was stuck. I immedatly dropped the mag out and tried to fre the round that was stuck, but to no avail. After aout 15 minutes I was ale to get the slide back enough to get the round out. I then tried to chamber a new round, ut there was something wrong. So I then tried to disassemble the pistol, that took another 15-20 minutes. For some reason or another the guide rod got fucked. Here are some pics that I just took. Although I should have taken pic while I was at the range. In one of the pics you can see a bit of plastic shaved off from the frame.

Needless to say I will be calling Glock 1st thing in the am.

How it sits now after the malfunction

The flange that keeps the recoil spring captive is too weak on the sub compacts in my opinion. I have seen this posted before a couple times with the G27. You might want to check out the assemblies from B.T.Guiderods. I put one in my G26, much beefier flange. It's probably not needed with a 9mm but I would definately put one in the heavier recoiling subs if it was my ccw.

I would clean, lube and shoot your pistol some more and then call Glock if you continue to have problems. If it is suspected you have a defective guide rod they will send you a new one at no charge. I would stick with the factory guide rod.

Yeah - Serial Number NFW (lol) has been out a while. Sure it's only 100 down the pipe? Bought new or used?

Also why try to chamber another round after said malf?

NFW - guess so.

the gun itself to me looks like it only has 100 down the pipe, the spring however (other than the fact that it is broken) looks more worn than that. Just call glock and tell them you have a faulty recoil assembly.
