G19X and G45.
Going to be sending the 45 off to get the slide cut, and then possibly pick up an Afterburner and Ramjet.

Who did you use to cut the slide on the 19x? That finish looks great.

That was BattleWerx. Just had the slide cut done, no other refinishing. They got it on a Tuesday and I had it back on that Saturday. Hit the cut with I believe four applications of Birchwood Casey cold blue paste. As soon as my suppressor height sights for the 45 get here, I'm sending that slide to them.

Thanks! The whole upper is by Ape Defense including the barrel. I'm pretty sure their OEM is ARC-Division, who also have similar barrels and uppers with the reverse crown.

No idea why I waited this long to pick up a 44. Really liking this pistol, and now I want to get a dedicated .22 can for it.

The fish gill ones have a more aggressive texture.  They need to bring back RTF2's into the Gen5 guns.

The Fish Gills are RTF2s as well and have the same texture.

G45 is back from BattleWerx. Another great job. Contemplating barrels/comps and if I want to keep the SRO or switch it out for an RMR.

I own Fish Gill 17's and a Fish Gill 19 and straight serration 19.  I also own later RTF2's that are two LAV frames.  The later RTF2's are dull compared to the original.  The nubs on the original are sharper.   They fell different in your hand.

Vickers 17 RTF2 Frame on left, 19 RTF2 on right. The 19 is from 2010 or 2011 and the nubs are much sharper.  Very nice 19C! Attachment Attached File

Did you send the optic in with the slide? I think I'm going to have Battle Werx do the optic cut on a G19 I have coming.

@StevieJ309
Did not send the optic. Stripped the slide off the frame, removed barrel and recoil spring, and just sent that. They remove everything else, replace the striker liner and you get everything reassembled back. If you have them replace your irons, you can either send them your new set or you can buy some from them and they will install them.
Pic thread, both my Gen 5s back. Kind of like the SRO there, but may still switch it out with an RMR.

ETA:
On both of the slides I sent in, it was less than 10 day turnaround and on the second one it was less than a 7 day turnaround. That’s sending the slide from TX to CT, them doing the work, and then returning it. Now keep in mind I did not have them refinish the cut, and I just hit it with B-C cold blue paste as used in Ivan’s YT video. Dirt simple and it works.

Picked up a couple Faxon Duty series threaded barrels on a holiday sale over the past couple weeks and installed them. Decided to take a pick of them.

Top - Gen 3 OD with OG frying pan finish. 10-8 Performance sights, Agency magwell, TLR-9, 25 cent trigger job.

Middle - Gen 5. 10-8 Performance sights, TLR-1HL, Holosun 507c, FCG mounting plate, 25 cent trigger job

Bottom - Gen 4. Lipsey’s Exclsive FDE, 10-8 Performance sights, Agency magwell, TLR-9, 25 cent trigger job

Thanks for the info. I'm kind of torn on the refinishing. I would ideally like them to do it, but winter is when I have the most time to shoot so being without it for 5ish weeks is less than ideal.

Finally bought a Glock 20.5 MOS added a Holosun SCS . Cowitnesses with factory iron sights..no plate needed, bolts right down to factory MOS slide cut.
WOOOP!!
Can't shoot 10 mm till I heal. Ganglion cist lodged in my tendon sheath...ouch.

@TW200 would you post some close ups of how the optic meets up with the larger slide?

I’m curious if it fills the whole slide or not and if the lines match up.

Glock 20.5 with Holosun SCS.
Direct fit, no plates.
Perfect cowitness with factory irons.

My new Glock 19.5 MOS (my 3rd Glock19.5 MOS) This one with a no battery solar Holosun SCS green dot. My other two G19.5 MOS have a Trijicon  SRO and a Trijicon RMRcc.
The holosun has over 1,000 rounds. It only had two dimness setiings. With the single dot I can shoot transitions on two 1 foot steel plates at 50 yards. So I am a huge fan.
Far bank two small targets inbetween the 3 large rectangular targets.
