I'm starting to get into competitive shooting and am looking for a good OWB holster. Currently I'm using my CHL weapon (G26) for competition but I would like to purchase a G19 later on for carry in the winter and competition. I would prefer a kydex holster but I'm open to any that would be able to accommodate both my 26 and future 19. Being able to conceal it is not a big issue, but would be a plus in case I ever decide to carry OWB. Mainly just need something for competition. Thanks |

Thanks for the suggestions.
I went to my local shop today and they showed me a Blackhawk level 2. Any feedback on these? He showed me the lockup on both a 26 and 19, but I'm somewhat worried about my finger slipping into the trigger guard when trying to press the release button on a fast draw. So far it looks like I'm leaning towards the Comp Tec since Raven has a long wait time. |

Quoted: Thanks for the replies everyone I ended up picking up a Glock sport/combat holster. Can't beat it for $12 at my local shop and it holds very tight to the body. I may even carry this way once the winter jackets come out. That'a boy! I clicked this thread just to recommend the Sport/Combat! ETA:Now get the mag pouch for $10. |

I have a glock sport and it is a "carrier" at best... drawing from it sucks. Have a raven on the way I'll second that. At first I really liked the Glock holster, but there's no firm detent when holstering, and it just feels sloppy when drawing. That said, I'm wearing one right now. It could be a lot better, though. |

Even though you already bought I will throw in my $.02 I have the Black Hawk Serpa CQC in carbon fiber. I use it for IDPA and IPSC. I am in florida where we shoot in board shorts and I hated all the holsters with the passive retention because it wants to pull my board shorts up to my armpits every time I draw. The black hawk releases whith the push of a button... I may never be as fast as a guy with a race holster but I will stick with the black hawk. as far as the 19 -26 question what I found with black hawk is you gan get the holster for either and it will work however if you get the smaller holster and use it for the larger gun the barrel will stick out the bottom of the holster and if you sit down or something you could possibly knock the gun from the holster. The barrel/slide should be 100% enclosed by the holster. I think that was more like $.05 though... |

I appreciate the replies guys. Even though I've only had the Glock holster for about a day, I can see what you are getting at. But for $12 I can't complain and I don't mind picking up another holster down the road if the mood strikes me. I also had the Blackhawk CQC holster for about a day before I returned it since I found the Glock holster. Althought I did like its ease of draw and retention, it just stuck out too much and limited itself to a range only holster. The Glock holster sits nicely against my body and makes for a viable holster for CCW in the cooler months. Thanks again guys, you ar15-ers are great |
