I currently have a Mikes in the pants holster for my Taurus PT111 im not sure how i feel about it. Is there anything else out there in holster form thats decent for people who do not wear a belt? All my pants i buy fit and i dont wear a belt for fashion purposes.

Do any of you have experiences with these types of holsters?

Belts are and added security that I prefer when wearing IWB I would be skeptical of beltless holding power. Just sayin'

As a former CCW instructor, I have personally seen those Uncle Mikes type holsters come out with the gun on several occasions. (IE:  draw the gun, holster comes out too.)

For fashion purposes, consider wearing a belt because it will match your holster and gun perfectly.  Otherwise, consider pocket carry as an alternative because there are no secure options for an IWB holster that I would trust without a belt.  Draw your gun 30 times and reholster without looking.  IF you can do this with any holster without fail, I'd say that's a promising indication it should work.

at first the holster caqme out with the gun now it is molded to the form of the gun. reholstering is a bit of a bear though.

Your pistol probably cost $500 or more
Your carry ammo is likely $.50+ per round
Your life is worth $???

Why rely on a $20 holster that doesn't work?

If you are serious about carrying, get a decent holster.  Take a full-day pistol training class and get some experience using it.  Sounds like you haven't done much holster work.

Ditch the Taurus, pick up a S&W M&P and order a belt and holster from Kramer

Change your fashion. Not really relevant w/ a cover shirt/untucked anyway. Good holsters are available, Supertuck, CTac, etc.

I was thinking the same thing. What are you talking about fashion purposes. Wear a belt. .

If you decide to keep the gun, Comp-Tac makes a C-TAC that fits the PT111.  Get a good belt (Beltman, Comp-Tac, Wilderness, etc),  get a good holster and it will change things drastically.

Yes!  Ankle Holster or a Shoulder Holster!
Belts are not a fashion statement!
Belts do more then hold up your pants.
I too do not need, my belt to hold up my pants eather.
But I have worn one, belt or another for years.
It is just another weapon to me.
Which helps keep my CC firearm form being shown!
