I've been looking and did a search....really haven't found what I want...
I have 2 or 3 different carry firearms...pistols...revolvers I carry in different holsters on my right side outside the belt. I try to carry them high enough so my coat or shirt hang over the gun. But sometimes the thing has a tendency to travel down a little and I'm afraid at times the end of the barrel can be seen when I reach for something or raise my right arm. I actually cut about 8" off the end a rifle sock and slide it up over the holster and tuck the excess around the top of the gun. At least the end of the barrel or holster won't be sticking out there in plain sight when I reach for something. My question...does someone make a elastic cover for added conceal carry ? any suggestions ... thanks |

Unecessary, and could potentially get in the way of things. Use a longer cover garment if you can't go IWB. Dress around the gun. |

Dress around the gun. you have to dress around the gun, if you put a cover on it, it's just one more thing for Murphy to screw you with when you might actually need it. longer shirts, shorter guns or IWB |
| i too carry a little more around the midsection. i carry IWB and have not had to buy bigger pants. a good iwb holster makes the difference. i have a desantis for my 1911. if you are very much against iwb then maybe head to wally world and look at the cell phone covers. i am sure you could modify one to your needs. my cousin has one thats fairly big and its camo. |

What got me to thinkin' about this was a guys story I heard at a local
Firearms store a few months ago...he actually worked there and was a pretty sharp dude as far as knowing his guns...a young guy though maybe 28 years old. Anyway.....he was at Walmart and someone noticed his pistol...the first thing he knew he was up against the wall and 2 big guys holding him....and then the questions were asked. I asked him about it and he said..."well it was hot...and I didn't notice my sidearm was exposed and folks could see it." They warned him and let him go after he produced his CCP. And Yes...I've got a couple carry belt bags I use of my Motorcycle...but when you think about it...you have to unzip those things. I just like the outside holsters. A simple piece of cloth with elastic over the pistol would do the trick. And you couldn't actually SEE the gun or holster if the wind blew back you coat or shirt...or raised your arm. Most everybody knows your packin' when they see those purse bags anyway,,,,,,
