So i've given myself sometime to learn what works for me and what doesn't as far as cencealing. I carry a 4' Kimber Eclipse Pro IWB with 8=1 and a second extra mag (8 rounds). After a few months of this I thought about lossing access to my primary weapon so now i keep a secondary weapon on me. I keep a Kershaw blade in my weakhand front pocket. No I tend to use my knife more than I shouild and sometimes it moves from pocket to pocket
Been thinking about the 2 is1 1is none and So my question to the guys who have more experience is would this Concealed Backup Knife be a feasable/smart idea to wear on the belt (weakside, behind the hip, handle to the ground) |

A knife is a tool to help us out with every day needs not a defense tool. If it was they might try to take them away also. They try anyways. The knife in your web link would be great to cut rope or open up boxes and upside down on your belt would make you able to open up boxes faster than ever. And if the box had a bad intention I would not wanna be that box. Lol. Your know what I'm saying.
I carry a folder clipped in my right pocket daily. Nothing to nice but decent. Its actually a beretta knife from cabelas. I keep it sharp though. I don't know what I'm gonna do when I get a PM9 and start to pocket carry. I might have to try one of those. |
| I wear the http://www.botachtactical.com/kabartdildr.html on my dog tags. It works great for a hidden knife. I wear it all day and it doesnt come out of the sheath even when running. |

ive carried a folding 4" knife every day since i was a tenderfoot boy scout (so about 13 years) and use it for a tool rather than a weapon. i carry it clipped inside my right front pocket. people are far far more accepting of a "utility" knife than they are of anything else. shit ive used it on campus when i needed a pair of scissors but none were available.
imo, a knife really isnt a reliable weapon unless your assailant is a moron. |

I carry a fixed blade on my weak side and a tactical folder on my right. Research your local laws to see whats legal for you. I pratice with both blades and my pistol. The country I work in will only let me carry 1 pistol. CWP are very rare here. Most of the population here carries blades, machettes are common too. Practice with what you carry, enroll in a edge weapons class. RLTW |
| When i have cargo pants on and have my gun in a ankle holster i carry a S&W boot knife in my right boot its there when i need it. I also carry a folding knife in my right pocket (all the time). My thought is if you need to get to a backup knife the Sh*t hit the fan i would rather have a second sidearm then a knife. |

Your backup weapon really should be a gun. If someone snatches your gun do you really want to have to fight them with a knife? A P3AT isn't much heavier than a lot of knives... carried in the weak-side back pocket gives flexibility should you be in a struggle and unable to reach your main gun.
That being said. I carry a knife 24/7 (Kershaw Leek) but that is mainly a utility knife. If I'm really feeling paranoid or am forced to go somewhere higher risk I keep an unused Benchmade for defensive purposes and take it along with the Kershaw. 2 guns; 2 knives; 2 lights... |
