Ankle carry holster for a Colt Defender?
Can it be done comfortably?

My WAG would be 'no' in the long run, but I have never found an auto I could comfortably carry on the ankle...only lightweight snubbies...which is the next thing to being unarmed but better than nothing I reckon.

I carried a Kimber 3" in .45 on my ankle for years.  It wasn't comfortable if you had to walk much, but it suited me at the time.

I carry a G19 on my ankle at work, with an Uncle Mike's holster for going over my boots.  I can run and jump, and take fences with it.  I've tried it once or twice off-duty, but with just being around my ankle instead of being around the larger diameter of my boots it's not as comfortable and has a tendency to slip around a bit.

Galco Lite ankle holster for a Kahr PM9 - with hiking boots and jeans no one can tell - mobility is very good too.

I had mine custom made by one of the custom holster makers.  Can't recall his name, but it was nice.  At that time, I don't think anyone offered one off the shelf.  I haven't looked, but I do think one or more of the big makers now offers one.  Any custom maker can do it for you.
