| I carried a HK USP 9 all weekend while in Phoenix. I carried at Ben Avery range and at Cabelas and was not called out by anyone. It was also my 1st time carrying 2 guns I had my Taurus CIA 650 in a pocket holster on the other side. I carried in a Triple K holster my friend was using for his S&W SW40F Sigma. He got the holster from our other friend who used it for a Glock 22, as I was inspecting the holster I discovered it was a no shit USP40/9 holster. I did learn one thing, don't forget a decent gun belt, I had to tighten my regular belt up +2 to keep the holster doing its thing. |

I carry full size pistols all the time. Beretta 92FS GLOCK 22 S&W M&P 45 S&W 66-2 Target 4" Ruger GP-100 4" Springfield 1911-A1 Never been a issue with me. As for carrying a BUG. I only do that when I'm on duty. Never seen the need to carry a BUG while off duty. But hey, if it floats your boat go right ahead. |
I carry said models concealed. I knew he was talking about conceal carry. This was posted under the Carry Issues sub-section. Which deals with conceal carry issues 99.9% of the time. The title of this post was "First time CCing a fullsize". CCing mean Conceal Carrying. |

I currently carry USP 45 fullsize all year round. IWB holster and a hawaiian shirt is all you need, even in shorts. I buy shorts a size or two larger than needed. I even have a OWB dual spare mag carrier on the weak side. For a bit more formal affairs I tuck in a oxford style shirt and wear a western style vest unbuttoned. Works just fine. Dress around the gun. |
