No experience with the Comp-Tac
I wouldn't carry a weapon w/o a belt unless it was in a pocket holster.(Not enough support)
Galco's Instructor belt seems to give a little more adjustability than some of the others, but the Wilderness belt is top notch.

Anybody using the Comp Tac Pro Undercover Holster? I was on their sight looking at holsters and thought the Pro Undercover looked interesting. I know everyone speaks highly of the C-T.A.C. but I plan on purchasing several holsters for different pistols, so the extra $25 will add up in a hurry.

I use the CTAC, so I don't have any experience with the Pro Undercover. If you are not carrying a really heavy gun, it will probably work fine. But if you're carrying something heavier like a steel 1911 or Sig, the single attachment point may not be as comfortable at the two attachment points of the CTAC. Just something to consider--I've never actually tried the Pro Undercover.

The next question is what type of holster do you use for pants / shorts that do not use a belt? I would like to use an IWB, but am thinking a paddle might be the only option when wearing this style waistband.

The only time I carried without a belt was on my wedding day because my tuxedo pants didn't have belt loops. The clips on my CTAC still worked okay though, so any comp-tac holster with standard clips will probably work fine. Still, I always use a belt.

And last but not least, the belt. I have been looking at Wilderness and 5.11 and that type belt. My question is how much adjustment is there with these belts? Are the sizes the actual belt length, or the waist measurement? I wear different sized pants depending on the style / brand. I am trying to figure out which size belt to get. I see sizes listed, but they are pretty limited in range. Is there an option out there that will give a broader range of adjustment? I am big and in the process of trying to shed some weight, so the belt size will need to go down as I proceed with weight loss.

I use a Wilderness belt also. Use a tailor's measuring tape to measure your waist in inches with the gun on; that is the size you need to order. DO NOT USE YOUR PANT SIZE. I am a 32" waist in jeans, but use a 36" wilderness belt. The belt has about 2 inches of adjustment in both directions.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I use the Comp-Tec Pro Undercover IWB for my Kahr P45. I've just had it for a few months. It's not the most comfortable holster to wear. The body side, of the holster,  is not contoured to fit the shape of your side.  Other that that it works well.

Belts and holsters is such a personal choice and everyone I know has quite a collection of both. The holster I wear everyday was given to me by my best friend because he wasn't comfortable with it. The positive side of you intending to loose weight is you can always make a good belt fit if you get "smaller". It's making them longer that is a project.
