That's my primary CCW and has been for more than half of my 20+ years of licensed carry.

If (a big "if") your dress and lifestyle is such that you can conceal a G26 in a back-up capacity then IMHO it makes the most sense by far.

I can't really carry the G26 anywhere/anyway that I couldn't carry a G19, so it doesn't really fit my personally-defined role of a BUG, but it might yours.

When I think "BUG" I think of a pocket-gun... a personal outlook borne of carrying a pocket-gun AD/ED for two decades as either back-up to the primary on my belt or, when necessary, as a less-than-optimal primary.  I've owned and carried dozens of pocket-guns and the best for me is the KT P3AT.  I have two and one is always in my front-right pocket in a Hedley pocket holster, whether or not my G19 is on my hip.

I went with a S&W 642 as my primary and pocket carry it (right front).

Now the G19 sits at home.
Maybe I'll put the G19 in the car with the G18 homey clips and use it as my BUG

Thanks for the replies fellas.  I was leaning toward the revolver for reliability and price but I have a buddy who is so convinced that I should get the G26 that he said he'd give me the extra money to buy it.

That's pretty tempting...

S&W 642 is what I have. It was my primary carry gun for over a year. I carry my G19 now, my 642 with CT grips in my deep carry gun.

When I carry a backup it is the Keltec P3AT as I don't even need a holster, I just use the beltclip or just put it in a jacket pocket. Primary is 95% with the Pro Carry II w/spare mag and 5% with the G19.

Same here, but I use a S&W 342, it's lighter.
