Going to get the wife an I some Maggie Moo's(very addictive) and noticed a sign at the entrance to the mail, that NO Weapons are allowed. I personally thought that now the bad guys have another safe work place. Of course then I thought that its concealed and no one will see it so who cares, plus it was an illegal sign so no worries. Any thoughts on why these people are doing this to the sheeple? |
Because the sheeple ignorantly believe that guns are bad, no guns = safe, and the police will always be there to protect them. Of course these are the same sheeple that bitch about gangs, youth violence, increasing crime, and have no idea how ridiculously lacking in logic their lives are in regards to their own personal safety. While I don't necessarily condone breaking the law, if the sign wasn't posted in accordance with state or local ordinance, I would have done the same thing...f 'em. |

Businesses that post these signs do it because guns scare the sheeple and "No Gun" signs make the sheeple feel safe. They know as well as you and I do that it won't keep out criminals and whacko spree shooters. And they're probably also aware that it won't stop CCW holders from coming in armed either. Is open carry legal in your state? If so I wonder if the sign was a reaction to people entering while open carrying? One restaurant near me put up a "No Firearms" sign after a minor run in with a couple of guys carrying openly, which is perfectly legal here. They guys weren't doing anything wrong, but the manager got complaints from the other patrons and to make the sheeple happy, up went the sign. They know CCW holders ignore it. Hell, I told them I would ignore it. They don't care about their law abiding patrons carrying guns, they just don't want their sheeple patrons seeing guns and going somewhere else, or getting frightened and calling the cops. |
| It doesn't seem like those signs would make people feel safer. If I saw the sign, it would immediately make me think that this location must have a real problem with armed criminals. Seems like businesses would rather have an out of sight, out of mind stance towards their firearms policies. I've never seen one of those signs here in the Northwest. I would never obey one of those signs unless it was somehow legally binding, as it is in some states. |
