Do any of these actually exist?  I've seen them in movies a few times, but never advertised or even discussed before.  I have an NAA .22Mag I'd love to conceal up one sleeve, if I could find a holster or attachment of some sort that would allow me to do so.

Would these be illegal or regulated in anyway?  I'm talking about something like Travis Bickle made in the film Taxi Driver.

Other than making for an interesting ice breaker at parties, they are completely retarded and they do not make one commercially because lawsuits would mushroom on both sides.

Who in their right mind would trust their life to a spring-loaded/inertia based moving rig that relies on snag-worthy garments for concealment, and houses a pistol with an uncovered trigger? The bigger the pistol, the more unwieldy and snagworthy the situation. OTOH, the smaller smoother pistol is about as useful in SHTF as a stern look and a fingernail file. Assuming it would work when it counts, you are going to be labled a class-A loon in the papers, and will be a lawyer's dream in a civil suit for "wrongful death" or dismembering the "victim".

I made a design myself years ago for kicks, but I would NEVER carry such a thing, and I advise you abandon this idea in favor of a sensible pistol carried in an IWB. Even as BUG it's a big mistake.

Anyone ever read any of the old Death World sci-fi novels?  The author described a powered holster that strapped on your arm and, unlike the gamblers spring loaded arm holster, this one hinged near the elbow and swung the gun into your hand.  You activated it by holding your hand in the correct position to grip the gun. It was powerful enough to rip the sleeve of your shirt open and smash your fingers if you didn't have your hand held exactly right.

Yea, yea, it's sci-fi, I know.  And to be honest, I'd rather have RoboCop's hollow leg holster anyway.

This is more of a fun project than a serious endeavor.  I don't carry the .22mag currently, I carry an HK USPc .45 LEM.

I keep hearing 'they are illegal', but does anyone know what statute covers them?

I recall some sort of sci-fi book with the holster described in an above post, something about how all the animals and plants were mean and nasty around the base but once away from the base it became normal or something.

Anyway, the only thing I might think about would be something that would just be a holster that let you grab the gun from your wrist, sort of like what schwartzenager had in end of days with a couple small glocks.  Of course this means reaching one hand up the other sleeve so oh well.
