| I was exparementing this weekend w/ various possitions for my IWB holster. I found a reasonably comfortable spot around 330 that let me sit down in a fair amount then just for grins I slid my holster around infront of my hip. I found it rather comfortable, and was surprised. It was much easier to sit and I felt less concerned with it printing. I'm now wondering why more people don't carry this way. What am I missing. It also seemed faster to draw from this possition. THe only disadvatage I can see is a belly getting in the way. Fortunately I don't have that problem yet. |
I noticed today however it is pointed at the femoral artery which is a problem as well. I don't place on discharging in my pants however, nor do I plan on my Kimber going off in its holster |

It is actually a great way to carry. faster, more control over the tool becasue it is center line of the body, easier access inthe H2H fight even grounded. Garrity Gun Leather makes an adjustable cant leather holster that works great. Garrity Gun Leather The CHANGELING I.W.B. |
As my sister's fiance said, "There's a reason the armory and the treasure room are in different parts of the castle...." |
| I just tried it. It feels comfortable and you can easily keep an eye on if you are printing or not. I am thinking that it you are going to need the right type of holster to do it. I have a Sidearmor adjustable cant IWB that I bought about two years ago. The belt clips are set wide apart to distribute weight over a longe area and that interfears somewhat with carrying like this. I'd be looking for another holster for this style. |
