Anybody found a really good ankle holster for a Glock 27? I'd like to find a good one to carry my G27 while on duty as a back up gun. 2 reasons. 1)Never hurts to have a 2nd gun. 2)I don't fully trust the crap SW99 they make us carry. If anybody has a suggestion for a different way to carry it as a back up let me know. Options are limited when wearing duty belt, vest, etc... |

Depending upon your build, a vest holster has it ALL over ankle carry for a back-up gun. I rarely wear a uniform these days, but when I do my 360PD is in a vest holster. When in New Orleans, I also have an old M37 AirWeight in an ankle holster, and two extra magazines for the belt gun on the other ankle... The hands-down BEST ankle holster I have ever tried, in 28 years on the job, is the Null. Very pricey, but the secret to it is the dense felt he uses as the padding. Plus he uses horsehide on the holster itself. My first one, purchased in 1981 and worn constantly until I went to the training academy staff in 1989, and sporadically after that, is still quite serviceable. The G27 is a bit heavy for the ankle, IMO, unless you're a pretty big boy. I'd look into a vest holster first. |

Since you mentioned it, I had to search a bit to find it: NULL Uncle Mikes. Works good over dress shoes or tac. boots. We've been using them at the ranch for years. |
