I'm going to a concert this Saturday at a hotel casino here in Vegas.  It's my first time going to a concert and I was wondering if it's ok to carry in a concert or should I leave my pistol in the car?

Thanks in advance,

I don't know about NV laws, and I'm too lazy to look them up, but you might not be able to carry there.

I've also been to very few regular concerts that didn't do a pat-down search, so even if it's legal, you might not be able to get in with it.

Which bands are playing, and at what sort of venue?

I'd ask the guys in the Nevada Hometown Forum.

Don't know about NV, but I think in IN, pro sporting events and concerts are a no-go for CCW.

Most places are a no-go if they serve alcohol for on site consumption.

It will depend on the place.......

Most don't do any searching and have no policy about it.

As for the alcohol, that is completely wrong since everywhere serves alcohol in NV.

There are a couple of places that are anti-gun Nazis.......

Thanks to all for your input.  Appreciate it.   I guess I'll just leave my CCW in the car to be on the safe side.  It's Foreigner at the Texas Station.  " I know.  I'm stuck in the 80's "

Thanks again,

In MO casinos are specifically verboten, I'd bet its the same in NV also.

I recently went to a concert in St. Paul and while I didn't see any "guns banned" signs, they did do pat down search.   It was a very half-assed search (the patted my hips and my calfs).  If I wanted to, I could've Mexican carried my CCW and they wouldn't have found it , as long as I kept it close to my junk.

Nope.....

If that was the case concerning gaming, you couldn't enter a grocery store, 7-11, or almost any drug store.

At the Dallas Event Center at Texas Station Casino you could carry.  No pat down or metal detectors.  I just didn't go back to my car to get my piece because the parking lot is 2 blocks away. Great show too!

Thanks again,

Last concert I went to at a big ampitheater here we got patted down and they wouldn't let my buddy take his pepper spray in and he was an off-duty cop.

So I guess a gun would have been a no-no.

Now NASCAR races are a different story.  They don't care what you bring in as long as it's not glass.

most states forbid carry to any paid event and any serving alcohol
