Trying to get back to being serious about carry.

Does anyone have any experience with the First Spear SSV Appendix/Kidney holster? I'm looking for something basic to carry a G19.

There's lots of manufacturers and options for all manner of carry but frankly First Spear is well known for being good gear and their holster is fairly no-frills. Any experience?

Not that this is Apples to Apples.

I love First Spear's nylon stuff. Second to none. I bought one of their SSV holsters and was totally underwhelmed. Had some cool improvements over the RCS stuff (cordura coating, elastic retention strap), but in overall quality, fell a fair amount behind RCS.

Haven't tried their appendix stuff.

I just picked up a holster from Tap Rack Holsters, who makes the OEM for First Spear. Without the fabric wrap its substantially cheaper, and they have a mil/le discount.

The turn around was like 3 days,which compared to the Ravens and INCOGs ice bought is stupid fast.

I got mine and it seems really nice, except for how tight it is. They said they'd fix it for me, so I might send it back for tweaking.

I like first spear stuff. I have their biothane belt and it's nice.

Raven phantoms are on closeout right now so I'd have a hard time buying anything else.

I still have a Phantom for the M&P FS.

Turns out they fit a G19 great, and with a little trimming they fit an ATOM slide.
