I have been wanting to mount a holster in my vehicle for a while now. Something to use when I am going to be sitting in the car for a while and it would be more comfortable to remove the pistol from my holster on me, and put it someplace secure and still accessible. After some Google Fu I thought that the G-Code OSH holsters with their RTI mount would fit the bill well. Easy to remove the holster when I do not want it there, plus it is easy to use multiple holsters for multiple weapons. For this project I was going to be mounting the holster on the drivers side of the center console. The holster ends up near the drivers upper calf of their right leg. Here are a few pics. FYI, for a holster mounted in this spot you would have to be using a LEFT side holster.
First thing I did was place the RTI Wheel Mount where I wanted it and drilled a few holes.
That would work just fine to mount directly to the side of the center console but I did not like how close the weapon was to the side. I could get the weapon in and out of the holster but not with a good grip.
To push the Mounting Wheel a little further away from the side, I cut some .5" diameter PVC pipe to a .75" length.
Then did a test fit.
I liked that distance so I wrapped the PVC with some black tape.
Then mounted it up with some #10 Machine Screws with Nylock nuts holding them tight on the back.
I hope that this helps someone else looking for a similar solution.

I added one to a ram mount on my ATV. Those things are pretty cool. I can go from belt carry to having it on the handlebar in 5 seconds flat. CHRIS

I'm looking for the best way to mount the Serbu Shorty I'll be getting in a few weeks.
