Hi all,
I have my Utah out of state Permit. I will be traveling to Wisconsin this weekend for business,  And am wondering if there are any specific rules I need to know.  I know the government buildings.  For you Wisconsin residents, Is there any rules about carrying within 100 feet of the building or anything?

Thank you,
Turt

With a CCW there are no rules for "feet of a building".  (It's just school zones that have that "1000 feet", but only if you don't have CCW. Stay OFF school grounds though if you are carrying.)

Otherwise it's the normal stuff, don't go in a post office, vetrans hospital, etc.

You can enter and dine at a place that sells alcohol but can't be DRINKING the alcohol.

Look for a valid weapons prohibited sign.  (Must be 5 inches by 7 inches, but doesn't have any particular wording or symbol.)  Parking lot signs do not count, it has to be a door. The signs are "notice of trespass" so if someone spots you, they can call the cops and they in turn can fine you.  As far as I know, that hasn't happened to anybody yet.

Unless you are in the liberal zones (state street, willy street, campus, and around where students and professors live) most places aren't posted anymore. I wouldn't go blabbing loudly about politics anywhere, otherwise it's pretty mellow about firearms.
