I would wear a slightly looser shirt. I have a cross breed delux that I carry at the 5 o'clock with a m&p9c with both compact and full size mags an the only printing issues I have stem from shirts that are too tight or too short. I definitely couldn't wear a tighter belt, that's the tightest hole I could fit it on before getting an aneurysm. Any baggier shirt, I'll look like a gangster!
I'm 5'10, muscle build, 190 lbs, That's a Large on me right now, I guess I'll try on an XL and hope it should solve my problem. |

I'm 6'4" and 180 so it's hard for me to not print. Also the other guy is right about the belt. Hike your pants just a little higher so the gun will be closer to the small of your back instead of on your cheek. That's what almost looks to be causing the butt of the gun to be poking out and printing. Also try sliding it a little closer to 5. Right now it looks like its about 4o'clock.

How the fuck did you quote him before he posted?? You a wizard or sum? My suggestion would be to lower the holster by moving the belt clips up. I wasn't wearing my tinfoil hat and he read my brainwaves. |

Do you think it'd be better if I put the rear clip in the highest setting, but front clip on the lowest setting, that way it would have an extreme forward cant? |

do you have a REAL gun belt, or a regular dress belt? A real gun belt distributes the weight of the gun ALL the way around your waist; a dress belt won't do this. A REAL gun belt is much thicker and stiffer than a dress belt. Yeah, that one is a dress belt. I've heard about Amish, Beltman, Wilderness, etc. I don't want to order online, only because their sizes could differ. I prefer to try the belt on rather than to order online. I tried doing the whole "wear your old belt, measure from the beginning of the belt to the hole used mostly, and add 1-2 sizes up, and that'll be the belt to order". I tried that with 3 different old belts that i have, and I got 3 different sizes for each belt... So... To be on the safe side, I'll try some on at those outdoor sports stores like Academy or Beltman; does anyone know if they hold good belts there? Quoted:

| Looser shirt would help your cause a lot. If concealment is your top priority a quality holster and belt are mandatory. I use a Raven Phantom with a Ares Gear Ranger belt and even OWB it conceals a metric shit ton better than that. Can you post up the holster and belt? |

I haven't had the time to go to academy/gander mountain to shop for one. I've been working everyday the last 4 days ever since the holster came into the mail. But I'll do what I can do when I get the chance! That's kind of a bummer, I'm so used to wearing snug shirts, I fit Larges pretty snug in the arm and chest area, this shirt is quite bigger than what I'm used to wearing. But maybe if I wear an under shirt, it'll help conceal it some more, on top of changing the cant and ride height |

Upsize a 100% cotton[not white] SL button work shirt and wear uptucked. I get mine, denim,.at the farm store [TSC] on sale for $9.99. If I wear a gray t-shirt, it's unbuttoned, I carry at 3 o'clock.
Will do IWB with SuperTuck[1911] or F.I.S.T. [26] with oversize non-white cotton t-shirt. I ainl;t got the body for Under Armor shirts..never did. Best. |

Lower the holster and adjust your angle. Also, try wearing an undershirt, even just a tank tup and tucking it in around the gun. That way your outer shirt doest cling to the gun so easily and it doesn't export the shape. And you look to be wearing closer to 3-4 o clock. 430-5 is much easier, and more comfortable. 3-4 is always to hardest.
When it if just over your buttocks, the tightness of the holster should hold it pressed against the dip in your back at an angle. I wear mine fairly high, but i prefer it more behind me than beside me. And I have the old faithful too, so I like the height about mid range. |
| That use to happen to me until I got a real gun belt from Blackhawk. Since wearing the gun belt it holds the holster closer to my body. The cool thing about the gun belts are they are so stiff they hold my pants open for quick get away's. It really comes in handy when visiting my girlfriend house when her boyfriend shows up. Ha ha, "Got to love it." |

Aker Leather should be the belt you're looking for. They offer a HUGE variety of styles in both black and brown.
As for the printing, I wouldn't sweat it too much. Think about it: I wouldn't even think "there's a gun" if I wasn't looking at those pictures trying to find a gun. Most people aren't walking around a supermarket with anticipation of people trying to conceal a weapon. I conceal carry in a t-shirt all the time and I know I probably print like that on occasion. It happens. |

Center it right between the two and you are good to go. Ill move it forward on occasion, but for carrying, having your buttocks under your gun is a very good stabilizer, believe it or not. Also depends what piece I have for the day. Ive been doing a series of videos on CC for my blog, Ill see if I cant get the one about my holster linked to you so you can see. Note: Im a 5ft 9in male that only weighs about 145-155, and I conceal carry a CZ75B full size, complete steel frame in tight fitting shirts. |

I use a fabric belt that doesn't use a belt loop, but rather two D loops and you weave the belt through them and tuck the excess belt back through the loop. It has always worked for me. |

My wife doesn't like the fact that I wear XL t-shirts. I could very easily get away with wearing L t-shirts but I find the XL's to be more comfortable and less restrictive. I also find that they are able to conceal my pistol better.
A good belt and holster combo would do you wonders. A purpose designed belt that holds the holster closer to your body will help conceal better because it's designed that way. Your fashion leather belt is designed to hold your pants up... that's about all it's designed to do. |

Concealed to me. Unless you are making it hugely obvious you should have no issues with what you are showing.
Once you realize the rest of the world is not paying attention to you and that no one cares about you other than yourself you will be fine. Everyone is to stuck on their iPhones or Galaxy S III's and are to worried about what is getting posted of facebook or getting a twitter thing out. I have accidentally walked through wal-mart with my shirt hung on my pistol exposed and all .... NOT ONE person noticed. The sheep are to worried about other things than you. |

I am serious people do not pay attention now days countless times a day I dodge people who walk into me almost because they are buried in their phones. |

I apologize I haven't written here in a while, I've been busy with work all week.
Thanks a lot you guys and gals! I tried the 5 o clock, it's definitely more concealable. At least with my body type, I raised the clips higher, and also with a forward cant. I just wish wearing at 5 o clock would be comfortable for sitting in cars and driving :grumble . I finally got my belt in from Daltech Force Dual Layer Bullhide gun belts. Like I said, I usually wear a 34-36. and they said to add 4 inch to pant size so I got a 38, but even with a 38 size belt, it barely fits, it's on the last hole. I might have to send it back for a larger belt, or I guess I can try and do a lot of cardio until my license comes in.I'll try and see if I can lose an inch or two in the next few days so I can wear the belt more comfortably, then I'll post up a review for the Old Faithful Holster and Daltech Force Gun Belt. Thanks again, all of you for your helpful input! |
| I have found that the higher the pistol rides on the hip/waist the easier it will conceal. 4:00-5:00 is always tricky because of the printing that occurs when you lean in certain directions. I've found 3:00-4:00 to be optimal for me. With a collared untucked shirt or light jacket you shouldn't have an issue. I'm 5'9" and about 200 so really fat right now. The extra on my sides is going to push that gun up and out if it sits too low. I know losing weight will help. I'm not a fan of baggy clothes but wearing the gun tight helps to conceal. There is also a sweet spot where your jeans/pants will settle and that's where you need to make sure printing is minimal. You can't go around all day adjusting your belt. Be prepared to possibly shop for new clothes. |

But like others have said, most people don't notice. You could always try groin carry and then only the ladies and homo's know you are carrying. |

The problem is, that in some locations, "printing" will get you in as much trouble as brandishing! Seriously. Let me clarify: The laws in various states vary greatly. In New Mehico, for example, you can carry openly or concealed (with CCW license of course). There's no penalty (that I have heard of) for printing. In other states, printing is categorized as "brandishing," and punished in the same way. In Texas, there is no open carry, and I suspect that the sheep there would panic (or feign panic in order to cause trouble for you) if you printed. Check out the Texas Hometown Forum for more info on this. |

There's a couple of companies that make holsters for groin carry: SmartCarry and Thunderwear. I have the SC and have found: ––that anything with a hammer digs into my ample belly, and is uncomfortable; ––that it is a PITA to remove the pistol when you go into a "forbidden" place. ––it is VERY concealable, as SS109 states, only meat gazers will notice. Check out SmartCarry's web site; they have a very skinny guy demonstrating it (as well as a cute girl). ––I have problems with my pants sliding down my butt when wearing SC holster! I've accidentally dropped trou and become a WalMartian, twice! I now wear suspenders when using the SC holster. |

This is with a 4" Springfield XD-40

| I carry a Kahr CW40 in a Galco KingTuk. It works much better at 3:00-4:00 than further back. Adjust the clips to cant the gun forward as much as is comfortable and the gun butt will print less. Buy a size bigger t-shirt. I can wear a large but I can't hide a gun under one. With XL, it disappears. Adjust the clips to sink the gun on the holster backing to get it as far down in your pants as you can and still be able to grasp the grip. A "wife beater" undershirt keeps the leather backing of the holster from sweating against your skin. Having your pants pulled up a bit conceals it better. CCW is NO place for plumber's butt or gangsta style jeans hanging down off your ass. With jeans and an untucked shirt, I like Levi's 560 as they have more ballroom and more room for the Kahr. I'm 6"2"-195# and I normally wear Dockers and a button down collar, oxford style shirt, often with a tie, for work. I dress better now that I carry all the time and I've noticed that the better I'm dressed, the more respect I seen to get from people. I've been carrying for 3-1/2 years daily at work and the KingTuk came about a year ago. Our VP approached me about advice on what to get for a self def pistol in Dec, just after the CT shooting because he's known for years that I'm a gun guy. He had taken a CCW course and got his license about a year ago but never owned a pistol. We went to the LGS and range after work the next day and he settled on a M&P 9 compact. A day or so later he asks me about what holster to get for CCW and he darn near $#!+ himself when we stepped outside and I showed him the KingTuk and Kahr I was wearing. I told him I'd been carrying it that way daily for a year and he couldn't believe it concealed so well. He's about my Dad's age and yesterday when I was at the office he couldn't wait to show me the CCW vest he'd just bought. I'm now looking for something with more capacity since the Kahr is all but invisible on me. I bought it because it was the slimmest 40 on the market at the time but I'm past ready for something with a better trigger and more rounds. |
