I just realized how well my P238 fits in the back pocket of my jeans. Anyone back pocket carry or is it a bad idea?

sometimes I carry a Keltec .380 loaded with DPX in a front or back pocket,
and then only in a kydex holster made for that.
I like it in the front pocket better, if the cut of the pants allow. I can have my
hand on the gun, almost ready to go, and nobody sees it. This may be useful.

I pocket carry a Taurus PT-740 Slim. Fits perfectly in shorts and jeans.

Bad idea in the back pockets.  It prints when you sit or stand up, and too easy for someone else to grab.

Great idea in the front pocket, but get a pocket holster to keep lint out, keep it from printing, keep it from moving around and not being right where you need it with the handle up, and also keeps your finger off the trigger until it clears your pocket.  If you need it quickly, draw from you pocket, and in your excitment squeeze your finger on the trigger as you grab the handle, well, let's just say the fight is lost.

When I bought my first mouse gun (NAA Guardian) I planned on rear pocket carry. I quickly found this wasn't a good idea. Here are a couple reasons, trying to draw the gun from a seated position was a real pain and almost impossible while seat belted in a vehicle. Next is drawing from the rear pocket isn't natural looking. Where as someone standing with his hand in his front pocket is perfectly normal and most wouldn't think twice about it. Given the right scenario this could be the difference between defending yourself, or being taken out while trying to draw from this position. Let me also add that we always want good retention in a IWB or OWB holster. But for pocket carry this is actually a negative. There is no need for retention in a pocket holster and it could make the draw even more difficult. All you are trying to do is break up the out line of the pistol and to keep any foreign objects out of the trigger guard area. I had ordered a couple of the Graham leather pocket holsters, but ended up tossing them into the holster box. Instead I have found the Nemisis pocket holsters are ideal for semi auto pocket carry, and for a J frame I use the Mika pocket holsters. I have two, the round cut works better for jean carry and allows the pistol to sit as low as possible in the pocket of the jeans. The square cut works better in dress slacks.  Just something to think about that you may not have considered before? YMMV?

Carry a P3AT or PF9 often in the front pocket of my jeans, the P3AT doesn't print at all, where the PF9 does slightly but still only some one looking for it may not notice, I good pocket holster just makes it look like a wallet.

Those pocket holsters break up the outline, but it's still a bit big for rear pocket

Not a fan of rear pocket carry IMO.

To me it doesn't feel safe (constantly sitting on it and shifting around on it, not saying it will ND but alot of opportunities to be moved out of battery or magazine release engagement) or easily accessible.

Depends on the POCKET...I carried this in uniform RF, RR or jacket pocket;

Still have but no longer any occasion to pocket carry..shorts and t-shirt country for me.

Not so sure would work in jeans for me..back pockets too small and the front top rather than side opening
not optimal.

Best.
