Sorry if this is the wrong place for this.
I placed an order back in early February.  Was quoted as time as orders being shipped by 4-6 weeks after receiving order... My order has now been over 8 weeks and still no update.  I emailed them last week to ask if they could update me but they never responded (I assume they are busy)... I don't want to be "that guy" and continue to bother them.
Didn't know if anyone knew if they were running late or have received anything lately...
Thanks...

I'm running on four weeks myself.  Money was charged a month ago.

That's kind of disheartening you're on week eight.

Not much help here but as I recall they were fairly close to their advertised  delivery when ordered mine  2/9/10.

Guess it could have been longer..satisfied with their product..wearing it now.. >2 years service.

You are protected with a credit card payment in any event...how long you wait is of course, up to you.

Call and ask him.  He's a nice guy and won't bite you.

Like I said I don't want to be one of those types... I already emailed him and know he is busy... more time he is on phone less time he has to making great products...

I did order a horsehide belt and I'm overweight so he said he would look for a fat horse for me...

That said he said when it was time if he hadn't acquired a fat horse than he would just do a bull hide and refund difference...

I guess if I don't hear anything this week I may give him a call next week unless someone else knows anything else.
Thanks

That's respectful of you to not want to bother him or slow him down.  But if you were quoted 8 weeks and it's been 10+ weeks, I doubt anyone would think that a quick phone call is unreasonable.

I ordered mine in FEB also (horsehide); just got an email yesterday that said it was shipped...

Mine took a while too. I ordered mine on Dec. 30th 2011 and got it right around the beginning of March.

A friend and I had ordered a couple several years ago, still love them.  Then he ordered a spare recently and it was crap.   Beltman basically told him that his belt is just the way it is.

We no longer recommend Beltman.

Jim emailed me this morning and told me it should ship today.  Thanks for all your guy's help.  Hopefully it was worth the wait.

Yep. It's been several weeks past what you were quoted, you are well within your rights.

Same situation here.  Called and left message.  He returned my call...nice guy, busy busy busy you know.  I've kinda gotten used to delays whenever I order anything custom leather.

I'd recommend a belt form A&G Custom Gunleather, great quality and pricing is/was similar to Beltman.  I do have a Beltman that I am happy with but I've had that for almost two years now.

The problem with recommending belt makers, is that if you have a great product from several years back there is no guarantee that the quality and customer service has been kept up over the years.

That being said, the 1 1/2" Kydex reinforced contour belt I bought from Comp-Tac  around five years ago is a great gun belt, very well made, and they used all top quality hardware in its construction.

Horsehide belts must be taking at least 8 weeks.  I ordered in early March.  Still no belto.

Don't know about the issues people say they are having with Beltman- I've been wearing mine (horse hide, 1 1/2 inch) everywhere for the last 3 weeks that I've had it and it's awesome! Very happy with my purchase. It does take the full 8 weeks until it ships so be patient- totally worth it.

I placed an order back in fed as well and got my 1 1/2 inch horsehide belt about 3 weeks ago, so I know he is moving product. on a side note
very happy with this belt. carrying a full size M&P40 in a crossbreed style holster and this belt made all the difference.

As a retailer (not in the same industry) id MUCH rather you call me and slow me down than make a post online about it. You arent slamming him -dont get me wrong- but the publicity isnt exactly good.
Call him up and see whats going on.
