Just curious if anybody ever tried carrying in a sling pack.

I had one laying around and I wanted to carry my G21.

I like the concept, but you really need a pack that was designed for it and I havent found one.

Mine has an exterior zipper pouch which the gun with a tac light fit perfect, but when i swing the pack to my front to draw, the zipper is on the left side and I am righty.

I think its a good idea in concept, but needs refinement. What say everyone?

I wear either my 5.11 Select Carry Sling bag or my 5.11 24 Push pack every day.  I carry a lot of stuff with me so I seem to always have a back pack.

I bought the 5.11 Sling bag specifically for my PS90.  I wanted to be able to easily access my PS90 and a handgun while not looking like I'm carrying a submachine gun.   It can fit an MP5 with retractable stock, an AR15 Pistol, SBR PS90, UMP, etc...

It's really comfortable too.

Im sorry but are the pics showing one item, or two different packs?

Disregard, I looked it up. Pretty sweet, might have to buy one.

I'm getting a new EDC bag and am looking at the Maxpedition Versipack jumbo LEO. Not just for my G21 (nice choice on gun btw :) but for my every day gear an a few AR mags. This bag is not for everyone but seems to fill a few rolls. It's the CC sling bag, gone EDC, gone active shooter. Might work for me. You might look at it.

Youtube has some videos done by equip2endure that talk about this bag. And yes. Sling bags are man purses.

I carry a Maxpedition Jumbo S. The S version is optimized for left-side carry. That way a handgun carried in it is crossdraw for a right-hander, or I can carry a handgun on my right hip without interference from the bag.
