Whille reading some other gun-forums i found interesting concept for vz.58 safety. At least from lefthanded shooter point of view.
Usually with surplus vzs the full-auto position is blocked, so to disengage the safety you have to rise back the lever by thumb. With this you just rise your thumb up. Still not as fast as to just push the lever forward as with full-auto, but it could be way to go.
What do you think and how do you manage your safety?

I always thought the safety was out of order on the VZ. That is one thing the AR does way better.

I've got an ambi selector on mine. Flick down on the left side with your thumb to move it to Fire, pull back on the right side with your trigger finger to Safe. At least as good as a regular AR.
