the guy I bought it from refinished in just clear shellac. Works pretty good, but shows dirt easy. Cleans off easy though, so no biggie. ETA: Was thinking of adding a Bulgy or Russian side rail when I send it in to have the 4.5 side folder installed. Being a PAP, can't do an UF, but don't really want one anyway. Form 1 1st though. |

Kinda, slightly envious of you guys with older PAPs who can do side folders. Mine is a newer one with the serno above the "Zastava, Serbia". I will be adding an UF (which is cool because it's factory correct), but I'm not a huge fan of shooting UF's. |

Quoted: Who are you going to send it to? I'm not quite sure yet. Chris Butler or Mario would be my 1st picks. I have rifles from both and am really impressed with their work. Troy would be another, he did my AKS-74U. Will probably come down to who has the quickest turn around time. |

Quoted: How did you attach the adapter to the rear of the rifle? I drilled 2 holes through the rear trunnion, ran the screws through and used nylon threaded bolts to hold it on the inside of the trunnion. The stock didn't come with any hardware when I bought it, so I had to Home Depo it. Believe it or not, it took me a couple hours b/c I was trying to install it wrong. Once I figured it out it went on in 5 minutes. I will get pics of it folded tonight. I think I would only fold it for storage though. Unlike the Bulgarian and Russian triangle side folders, it sticks out pretty far. |

I contacted Troy last week for a Draco and he said to get with him at the end of summer because he is so busy. No biggie since I just sent my form 1 in |

Unlike the Bulgarian and Russian triangle side folders, it sticks out pretty far. did you modify the ace adapter by grinding off the nub that hits the rear of the receiver? or did you notch the receiver for the nub? no special arrangements for the 4 or 6 degree slant to the receiver back?? This might be easier than i thought. Saw the pics of the screws at angles. are then bent or just angled? consider tapping the holes straight and eliminate the need for nuts? |

There was no nub on the folding mechanism that I got. It may have been ground off by the guy I bought it from. I didn't thread the rear trunnion for the screws, I don't think there would be enough meat there anyway. I'd go ahead and use some sort of nut rather than trust that the thin trunnion would hold it if you did thread it. I could be wrong through. As for the bolts themselves, they're not bent, just crooked from the curvature in the rear trunnion. Also I did nothing for the receiver slant on the back. The angle is negligible, and if anything helps with getting a better site picture IMO. |
