As I understand, installing an Underfolding stock will illegally cover the original PAP serial no.

How could I legally build an Underfolding PAP?
Buy an aftermarket receiver with unonstructed serial # & move all the PAP parts over to it, using it like a parts kit?

What components would be the best & where do I buy the parts?
- Receiver?
- Triunion?
- Underfolding Stock?  I prefer the angled (Chinese) style Over the straight, European style.

I would like to build a more spacious center console in my truck so I can have quickly accessable rifle-power.
The Underfolding stock gives a much slimmer profile & should store in less space.
The angled-style UF's fit my long/tall physique well.
I live & work on our family farm, so I really, really want to have efficient access to a rifle, like I do handguns, so I can more easily take out hogs/coyotes/dogs/bobcats, etc as quickly as the Opportunities present themselves.

I'm open to other platform suggestions, but an Underfolding PAP seems pretty ideal. 7.62x39 has more muzzle energy from
a SBR, than a much larger 16" 5.56 has at the muzzle.

If anyone knows the possibilities of this, I figured you guys would.
Thanks in advance for the help.

If you are indeed SBRing the PAP you can cover the original serial (not Destroy it) and give it a new serial number on your form 1. You are Manufacturing the rifle at this point and can serial it how you want. the original serial will no longer matter as a sbr.  You will  not be able to remove it from the NFA if the original serial is covered (NOT DESTROYED). I have 2 M-16's, and several HK's done on for 1 & 2's in this manner these are pre 86 transferable machineguns.
Under the trigger guard, bottom of receiver (like NDS) engrave
ABC TRUST
CITY STATE
MOD M92
CAL 7.62x39

At this point it meets all BATFE / NFA regs fro a SBR / NFA device. The original serial no longer matters as long as it is registered as the NFA device and the original serial was not obliterated.

.
This is only f you are SBRing it.

I'd like to do the same as pegleggreg with an M85 Yugo but this still baffles me. If you add an underfolder, won't the hole drilled at the rear of the receiver destroy the SN, which is placed in that area?

I'll post sme pics from a few M85's M92's PAP pistols so you can see the line. some will be effected and other wont.
Keep in mind a NFA device is different then a Title one conversion.
